Ich bin sehr happy mit dem Tarp. Die Türfunktion ist viel Wert, wenn es stark regnet oder sehr Windig ist
Meine im Wechsel benutzten 11Fuss Hängematten oder mein Haven Tent XL sind komplett geschützt. Durch die auf dem dem Tarp angesteckte Mittelstange ist innen mehr Platz.
Aufbau easy, alles im Lieferumfang enthalten . Habe nur die 2 Hauptabspannleinen für die Bäume auf Nize Camjam Karabiner umgerüstet.
Der Packsack könnte größer sein, das Tarp da wieder reinzubekommen ist manchmal nervig , ebenso wäre ein Packbeutel mit Meshanteil gut, wenn man das Tarp feucht einpacken muss . Wie z.b. der Packsack vom Helikon Tex Supertarp.
Ansonsten ist das Tarp Preis/Leistung sehr gut
This tarp is well constructed and thought out. It has everything you need to set up a tarp for camping or shelter.
The tarp has an included aluminum pole that supports the center in a bow shape which is fantastic. It allows the sides of the tent/tarp to bow out and gives significant room improvement. This is helpful for hammocks especially so the tarp does not lay close to the camper/hanger.
It was way to windy on the day I was doing the review so there are no videos or images of the setup tarp. The material is well made, waterproof and has an odd silver coating on the inside.
The reason this is not really acceptable for backpacking is based on my experience and weight. It is a bit too heavy as a hammock tarp for backpacking. For camping from a car/canoe short hike it is very nice and has the two doors so you can keep the wind out. It is 2.4ish pounds with all included stakes, lines and the support pole. My similar backpacking set up is 1 pound.
I'm a hammock camper, so well versed with tarps and their finicky ness. This tarp is stellar at a $65 price point. I have tarps that are more than double this price, but I love this tarp. The ease of set up, once you figure out the ridge line (I added micro beaner to secure around tree, see pic). Once secured around your tree, simply slide the tension device to secure. The included spreader bar really opens the inside (pic of inside shows adult size collapsible camping chair for scale). The corner pockets for the corner tie out is great. The hardware to adjust the corners is simple to use and attached to bungee to allow flex with the wind. Bought another as a birthday gift and a friend bought one for himself.
There were no directions and we have never used a tarp tent before so we are trying to figure out how it works. But so far so good and the kids are having a blast playing in it. We hit it with a water hose and it did a great job repelling the water. We will keep playing with it and this will be a staple in our camping kit.
I didn't find anything about this tarp that I dislike! The stuff sack fit everything inside. The spreader bar to keep the sides out away from your hammock and a really light! Good deal to me, is someone paid attention to detail and the tent stakes are ultra light along with the spreader bar! They didn't give you those cheap bent aluminum bars. The tarp is self is waterproof, and double stitched and the corners have elastic and clips so if you wanted to close two corners you can fold them over and close them up. When I first saw the price I was like $60 for a tarp, that's silly expensive, but after seeing what you actually get it's worth it! I rolled this out in my living room to look it over before deciding how to write up this review. With this tarp I can set this up over my hammock and stealth camp, or use it as a lean-to, or small pup tent shelter. So I really think this is going to be a good tarp for my outings! I have one that I picked up years ago that cost less, but that isn't anywhere near as good as what this tarp is capable of- so I'll likely trade that rain fly away and use this over my Hennessey hammock for stealth camping! The real challenge these days if finding trees that are safe enough to put up a hammock since the emerald ash beetles locally have destroyed most of the ash trees around my area here in Northeastern PA. I'm sure I'll find some place safe to camp this year and get out soon! So I love this tarp! I'm giving this a five out of five star rating! Thank you! -Mike
This 210T rain fly tarp is outstanding! The 3000mm waterproof rating kept me completely dry during heavy storms. Setup is incredibly easy with the included guy lines and stakes. The reinforced corners and ripstop material feel very durable. Compact, lightweight, and versatile - perfect for hammock camping or ground shelter!
This is a pretty good lightweight camping tarp. It actually works at repelling water while not being as heavy as typical tarp material. It's not the lightest I've ever used, but it's overall still a good lightweight tarp. This is easy to use.
Great coverage for summer bugs. Used with outdoor bed or hammock and works very well for deflecting. The rain and small bitey bugs. Very light and packs up small but with good visibility through mesh.
I love to lay outside in my hammock, but hate the constant worry of being eaten alive by nature��s thirsty little bloodsucking creatures. This screen tent is great, providing not just immediate protection around my hammock, but also a bit of extra space to move around in, and stay dry too. The only thing to note is that if you want the sides to be lifted, you need either a tree to tie a line to or something like a hiking pole to prop up the corners. We��ll see how this performs against the hummingbird sized monster mosquitoes of the New Hampshire woods, but I have high hopes it will keep those pesky critters at bay.
I needed this. I have a hammock with the tree straps and a mosquito net, but nothing to keep the dew or rain off of me. This was exactly what I was looking for. Its nice to be able to strap it down without having to worry about it coming off.
This is perfect for backpacking into a primitive site.
I originally got this just to use in my back yard - I have a hammock that I love to use but the mosquitoes are awful. I had to test this in my basement since we're in the dead of winter at the moment, and I can see this is the perfect size for dining at a campsite too. It will keep out not only mosquitoes but also those annoying flies, and maybe even deter some other critters. Based on my previous experience with voracious mosquitoes I will probably treat this with permethrin before the summer season (note that permethrin, when wet, is poisonous to cats! So treat in an area where cats can't be - I spray mine in a garage with the door open, then close the garage door while the materials dry). This is so well made and so easy to set up I might even buy an extra, one for my hammock and one for camp.
This Travel Bird hammock screen house is perfect for camping in bug country. My wife and I do a ton of hammock camping in northern Wisconsin and the bugs will eat you alive if you don't have a screen room. We have individual bug nets that go around each hammock, but this screen house is nice because it gives you some space outside of the hammocks that are bug free. The screen house is simple to set up and take down and it comes with its own storage bag.
This is a very good rain fly. I've even experienced it in a downpour and it held up very well. It does take a bit of learning to figure out how to get it hung and stable. Once you get the hang of it, then it gets easier to put up and take down each time. It's pretty durable and definitely waterproof. It has decent instructions too. It's decently sized and can fit a small 2 person tent underneath it. It can also double as a water proof cover if you don't hang it in the trees, just like you would use a standard tarp for.
This tarp really held up this past weekend in a torrential downpour! The tarp is fairly lightweight (it's not the lightest out there, but doesn't cost what dyneema costs either). I had it over my hammock when the sky opened up in the middle of the night, soaking the area. I stayed dry though! It was easy to set up and with most tarps, has many different options on how to set it up. Definitely recommend and this has now become my "go to" tarp for over my hammock!
Nice and easy to set up and take down. The camo is better than the picture. It's different. Camo works great in the woods!!!!!! Blends very well. Highly recommend. I use it with my onewind 11ft hammock. The camo looks the same as my hammocks camo. Looks great together. You can see my hammock in here, on Amazon. Very happy with it.
