8. Keep hammock out of direct UV light when not in useand store in a shade place.
9. Hammocks are flammable: keep away from open flame& embers.
10. Do not modify your hammock.
Step 1: Find the Perfect Location
To start, you’ll need to find two adult trees that are 4-6 meters apart. Make sure the trees are healthy and sturdy enough to support your weight. Fix the tree straps at a height of 1.8-2 meters above the ground, ensuring both straps are as close to the same height as possible for stability.
Step 2: Secure the Tree Straps
Next, wrap one end of the single loop around the trunk of one tree. Take the end of the multiple loops and feed it through the single loop, then pull it tight. This secures the strap firmly against the tree.
Step 3: Hang the Hammock
Now it’s time to hang your hammock! Attach the hook on the outside of the hammock storage bag to the first tree strap. Pull the hammock out of the storage bag and then attach the hook at the other end of the hammock to the second tree strap.
Step 4: Ensure Proper Tension
It’s crucial that both the tree strap and hammock are pulled tight. Aim to keep the tree strap and hammock ridge rope in a near-straight line. The angle between the hammock ridge rope extension line and the tree strap should be less than 20 degrees for optimal support.
Step 5: Fine-Tune the Setup
If your hammock isn’t tight enough after the initial setup, simply sit on the hammock to create tension in the straps and ridge rope. Then, adjust the hammock hook to ensure the tree strap and ridge rope align closely to a straight line.
Step 6: Install the Rainfly Tarp
Next, attach the rainfly tarp. The hanging hooks at both ends of the tarp should be positioned 1-2 loops longer than the hammock hooks. This will prevent the rainfly from sagging and keep it taut.
Step 7: Secure the Tarp with Ground Stakes
Take the ground nails from the small bag attached to your storage bag. Use the windbreak ropes on the four corners of the tarp to secure it to the ground. Make sure to adjust the buckle on the windbreak ropes to ensure the tarp is compact and secure.
Step 8: Enter Your SkyNest Hammock Tent
Now your SkyNest Hammock Tent is fully set up! You can unzip and enter the hammock comfortably. Any door on either side of the rainfly tarp can be secured with a buckle to protect against wind or to provide ventilation.
Step 9: Separate the Tarp and Hammock
If you wish to use the tarp and hammock separately, simply pull apart the two zippers on the hammock and remove the hanging hooks from the tree straps.
Step 10: Installing the Mat
To enhance your sleeping experience, you can add a personal camping inflatable mat. Tuck it between the two layers of the hammock, lying it diagonally for better support.
For Ordinary Mats:
- Fix the elastic rope onto the diagonal hooks, covering the ends of the inflatable mat to reduce movement. This will help it lie flat.
For Our Special Inflatable Mat:
- This mat features four mounting holes with silicone rings to match the small hooks of the hammock, preventing the mat from shifting. Ensure it's also fixed diagonally to lie flat.
Special Note:When setting up your air mattress, after inflating it, please remember to gently tap the mattress to remove any small stones or sand that may be attached before placing it inside the hammock. To prolong the life of your hammock, avoid contact with any sharp objects that could cause tears.
Setup A Ground Tent
Step 11: Use a Support Pole
Find a hiking pole or a sturdy support pole that is at least 1.2 meters long. Fix two hammock straps to one end of the support pole and pull them apart at a 90-degree angle. Secure the other end of the straps to the ground using tent stakes.
Step 12: Connect the Hammock
Connect one end of the hammock to the fastening strap on the support pole using the hammock hook. Erect the support pole vertically.
Step 13: Tighten the Hammock
Pull the hammock apart along the center extension wire between the two straps. Tighten the hammock ridge rope and pin the other end to the ground with tent stakes. This creates a solid pyramid structure for your hammock setup.
Step 14: Secure the Rainfly Tarp
Lastly, pull the wind ropes from the four corners of the rainfly tarp and adjust the distances as necessary. Fix them to the ground using tent stakes, ensuring that your ground tent is fully secured.
