Q1: Does this package include a hammock, or is it only the mosquito net?
A: This listing is for the mosquito net only. It is designed as an add-on protective cover that easily pairs with your existing portable camping hammock.

Q2: How does a bottom-entry/underquilt mosquito net protect me while hammock camping?
A: Unlike traditional top-only nets, this bug net features a 180-degree bottom-coverage design that specifically shields the lower half of your hammock and underquilt. It creates a dedicated protective barrier beneath your sleeping area, preventing flying insects and bugs from biting through the bottom of your hammock fabric.

Q3: Will this mosquito net fit my hammock model?
A: Yes! Featuring a universal fit design (measuring 9.3 ft long by 5 ft wide), it is compatible with almost all standard single and double portable gathered-end hammocks on the market.

Q4: Is the mesh fine enough to keep out tiny insects like midges or no-see-ums?
A: Absolutely. It is constructed with ultra-dense, high-density no-see-um flat mesh. The micro-openings prevent even the smallest flying insects, midges, and sandflies from penetrating while allowing maximum airflow and breathability on warm nights.

Q5: How easy is it to set up this net on my hammock?
A: Setup takes only a couple of minutes. Simply slide or stretch the net over the bottom of your hammock, secure the elastic quick-clip hooks to your suspension system, and tighten the buckles for a snug, gap-free seal.

Q6: Is this bug net lightweight and compact for backpacking?
A: Yes, it is built specifically for light travel and backpacking. Weighing only 7 oz (198g), it packs down into its attached stuff sack for easy storage without adding bulk to your pack.

Q7: How should I clean and maintain this net?
A: Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle, cold cycle using mild soap. Hang to air dry in a shaded area. The fast-drying polyester mesh dries rapidly without requiring heat.

Customer photo review of Bottom Mosquito Net for Hammocks

Well, it's about time someone developed this simple, yet brilliant, idea!! If you are a hammock hanger you know how mosquitos and the rest of the biting bugs can get you through the very thin hammock material. For years we have had to either use a full encasement net assembly net, even if you had a bug net on the upper portion of the hammock. Or... install an underquilt, which is designed to trap heat and warm the hammock or use a mat that just never stays put. THIS is the perfect answer for hammocks with bug nets that are open underneath. The quality is about as expected for the price. Not top notch but way more than adequate for the job. Installation is a sinch, and I do mean "a sinch". Simply attach the cords at each end to the item you use to connect to the tree straps. There is an adjustment at each end and dowels on both sides to hoist the net up to hold to the hammock. All-in-all, this is such a brilliant idea and I am thankful that these people are offering it. Best of all... price is so very affordable..

Bottom Mosquito Net for Hammocks

This 360° anti-mosquito bottom-hanging mosquito net is really a blessing for hammock camping! It uses ultra-fine No-See-Um mesh, which can block even the smallest mosquitoes. The last time I camped in the forest, there were a lot of mosquitoes. With it, I slept well all night without being disturbed. The bottom-hanging design is not only ventilated and breathable, but also can be seamlessly matched with a sleeping bag or underquilt, without being stuffy. It is also very easy to install, and it can be done in a few minutes with a quick hook. It is suitable for almost all types of hammocks. The ultra-lightweight design makes it a permanent equipment in my backpack. I recommend it to all friends who like to spend the night in the wild!

Underquilt Mosquito Net with 360° No-See-Um Mesh – Universal Bottom Bug Barrier for Hammocks, Tents, Camping Gear (Ultralight & Quick-Clip)

This is a very specific piece of hammocking gear, but if you need it, you need it. For those times when you're taking your hammock with an integrated bug net, you don't want to soak it in permethrin first, you've tried using a sleeping pad to protect your underside and your arms still got bit, there's this. A bottom-only bug net for your jungle hammock. It works and it's cheap, so there's not much to complain about. Ditching the jungle hammock and using a regular one with a full outer bug net may be a more elegant solution, but now it's not the only option. I'm glad this exists.

Underquilt Mosquito Net with 360° No-See-Um Mesh – Universal Bottom Bug Barrier for Hammocks, Tents, Camping Gear (Ultralight & Quick-Clip)

This hammock net is exactly as described. Super lightweight, packable, tight mesh to keep bugs out. It arrived nicely folded/rolled into the attached bag but I can confirm it's possible to stuff it without folding. The ends of the net have a loop of static cord with a cinch to attach to your carabiners or knots. They have plastic cinches to adjust the distance from there to where the net begins. Each side of the net has shock cord with a toggle to adjust the length and drape of the net to match your hammock. Each side has 2 plastic toggles (which the listing calls buckles) on elastic loops that can be looped through your hammock if you have something at those points. This is the one part that's not universal as they are at fixed points 28" from the ends of the netting. You need to have anchor points at those locations. You can cinch the netting to get them closer than 28", but they will go no further towards the middle. Overall versatile and great net for the price.

Bottom Mosquito Net for Hammocks

This has very tight mesh for all insects. I have a hammock with built in top net. But, there are a lot of mosquitos in some areas that can bite through the hammock material. This provides protection from the bottom without adding much weight. In cooler weather I use a bottom quilt for protection. The net is light weight at 7oz and compacts down to about the size of a soda can. It installs easily with reflective cord loops at both ends. The net is hung between the cord loops with shock cord. There are 4 toggles for hanging, but didn't work for me because I don't have tie offs at that location. The cord loops attach easily to my under quilt hooks. There are several means of adjusting.
